Wednesday July 1 Excursions

We propose three different guided tours:

  1. Sinis ‘long’
  2. Sinis ‘short’
  3. Cagliari

All options depart from Cagliari Central stations. Options 2 and 3 finish in the afternoon, allowing some time to visit the exhibition (MUAAC is open until 6 pm).

All excursions must be booked by June 17th at the latest. If you attend one of the excursions please consider the temperature and bring sunscreen, a hat, comfy shoes, and water on the day.

All excursions include lunch. Please indicate Meat-base, fish-based, or other diet restriction.

There are many additional options that can be booked autonomously — for instance through the platform ‘Getyourguide’ (Prenota tour, escursioni e attività online | GetYourGuide). Among those, we recommend trips to Barumini (Su Nuraxi) or sea-trips from the central dock in Cagliari or Parco Molentargius for a bit of nature nearby. Option 1: Guided tour Sinis (long)

07:30 – 08:00 Cagliari central station, meeting with guide.

08:00 – 09:30 transfer to San Giovanni di Sinis

10:00 – 12:00 guided tour in the archeological area of Tharros (tickets included)

12:30 – 15:00 lunch break in a local restaurant (typical local cuisine)

15:30 – 17:00 visit to Is Arutas beach (please note the beach is not equipped with sunshades. Bring your own towel as well as beachwear).

17:30 – 19:00 return to Cagliari with private transfer

Cost: $140 per person

Option 2: Guided tour Sinis (short)

07:30 – 08:00 Cagliari Central station, meeting with guide.

08:00 – 09:30 transfer to San Giovanni di Sinis

10:00 – 12:00 guided tours in the archeological areas of Tharros (tickets included)

12:30 – 15:00 lunch break in a local restaurant (typical local cuisine)

15:00 – 16:30 return to Cagliari with private transfer

Cost: $130 per person

Option 3: Guided tours in Cagliari

9:30 meeting with guide at the central station

3 hours long visit, with guide, with private bus with stop in Bonaria, Molentargius, viale Europa, porta Cristina and walk from Castello to Piazza Yenne.

Transfer to Poetto beach, lunch in a restaurant in the area at around 12.30-13 and walk on the beach. Return to central station with private transfer at 3:00. Please note that Poetto is equipped and parasole sunshades can be rented in there).
